well, my final class was last night, and it was bittersweet. although the trek is exhausting, i am going to miss it. the teacher and the other students were all really interesting people, and i hope to run into them again!
i was able to make great progress on my little dead mermaid last night, and i am super excited about how it is turning out.
believe it, or not, i actually kind of followed the rules about the color wheel……
<—— this is before mark mitchell dropped a blob of paint on my mermaid and tried to ruin my painting. (grin, just kidding!)
my original plan had been to paint the tail more of a pinky red, but i ended up going with the blue-green from my dang color wheel. i like the way it turned out and i think i am on the verge of finishing up!
feel free to discover me now!
Nice paintings.Congrats to your last class. 🙂
I really think you might be one of the coolest people I know.
thanks erica! it is nice to hear, since i walk around feeling quite matronly 🙂
the blue-green tail looks just right.
i also like the layering on the rock
lookin’ good!
what is the big bird in the tree?
that is a peacock! they run wild on the grounds of the art museum/school in austin! they make these crazy cries when the sun goes down, it sounds like someone is stepping on a cat.
You’re so talented and creative. She’s coming along really well. 🙂
I like the colours 🙂
