a little while ago i posted a picture of a sock monster i had created. one of my long time blog buddies saw his picture and asked if i could make one for her to use in her work with children. she does play and art therapy with kids at a school where 10% of the population is on the autism spectrum.
as the mother of two boys diagnosed with autism, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart.
monster and i discussed it, and of course he wanted to immediately travel to this school and play with these kids.
as you can see from his photograph, he is already practicing his super hero pose for when he arrives.
when it came time to hop in a box and get wrapped up he was excited, and not apprehensive at all, about taking a long trip.
bon voyage monster, i know you are going to be an excellent therapist!
