happy monday readers. it is the beginning of a bright and shiny new week, full of possibility!
last week was a bit of a wash for me, it wasn’t a bad week, but with the kids taking turns being sick, i didn’t feel like i got as much accomplished as i had hoped.
i agreed create a batch of ogres for a stocking in february (and i am extremely excited and flattered that there is so much interest), and i am chomping at the bit to get them started. but being home with the boys allowed me to shop for all of the needed supplies, so i am on the path to readiness.
besides suffering allergies and minor colds, we don’t really get sick much. poor squirm was running a 103 degree fever on friday and didn’t do much besides relax on the couch.
fortunately he was much improved by saturday, but continues to tire easily and cough a lot when horizontal. sadly his temp was back over 100 this morning, so it looks like he will get a bonus day off from school.
unfortunately i haven’t quite worked out the maternal logistics for when one kid is sick and the other isn’t. do i drag the feverish one out of bed so that we can deliver the well one to school? i never imagined how much time i would spend agonizing over these kinds of issues.
How cute Take care 🙂
I can’t recall having that dilemma. I must have dragged the sick one around to get the well ones to school. My husband helps out a lot when the kids are sick and will take time off work to care for them. He’s a nurse so he does a better job than me with illness.
oooh, that must be very handy to have a nurse around the house!!
Yes.
It would be good to have a carpenter, electrician, and a plumber too! Let me see, three sons. What are the chances?
i am kind of hoping to end up with a vet, we seem to spend quite a bit of money there 🙂
