Easy apple cobbler 

i want to share a recipe for a dessert that i frequently make on sunday afternoons, when my parents come to lunch.  it can be made with whatever fruits you have on hand.  since it is currently fall and apple season, i have been doing apple for a few weeks.

first you chop/slice 4-5 apples. i peel mine, but i suppose you don’t have to.  toss the apples with 2 T flour, 3/5 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, lemon juice, and the spices of your choice.  i always use lots of cinnamon.  with apples i like to add a pinch or two of cardamom.  you could also use ginger and nutmeg.
to make it really quick and easy, i use the pre-made pie crust that comes rolled up in the refrigerated area of the grocery store.  if you are more industrious than i am, any homemade crust would be amazing.

i drape the crust over a baking dish. and then fill with the apples.  
fold the crust over the top.  it doesn’t have to fully cover the cobbler.

add some butter to the top.  i probably chop up 2-3 T of butter.
  cook for the first 15 min at 450 degrees, then reduce the oven temperature to 350 and bake for 35 min.
