Dobies are so aloof with people and critters they don’t know. It takes a while for them to develop trust. On her own terms.
Is she missing Max? As much as my foxie (Fergus) and beagalier (Bella) fight, if Fergus disappeared, Bella would feel very lost. She howls her guts out when he digs a hole under the fence and goes for an adventure, even though she helps him dig the hole (Dynamic Duo).
she definitely misses max! when she had to stay at the doggie hotel while we were at the coast she apparently howled quite a bit (something she never did when max was there with her).
