i am obsessed with these dr. seuss-ish flowers that are rampant on the roadsides here. i have been admiring them in the morning while i am walking, and i was happy to get this picture today. the mowers are coming.
roasted cabbage
brush a shallow baking sheet with olive oil. slice washed cabbage into 1″ slices. arrange on pan. drizzle with olive oil, season as desired. (salt and pepper, maybe some cumin seeds?). roast in 400 degree oven until brown and delicious!
