i am going to admit it, i am kind of wimpy about taking my kids too far outside of their comfort zone. a few failed family adventures have made me a little…..anxious about trying new things.
we were invited to a birthday party in austin (over an hour away) by a very cool friend. i waffled back and forth a few times, but in the end we decided to take a chance and make the trip.

the squirm didn’t hang out in the yard for long (the cupcakes lured him out of course), but he had a great time playing with some of our hostess’s toys. i think his favorite was this really cool marble maze thingie. i might have to find one for a birthday present.
we had a great time and i am so glad we went.
