i was totally beside myself with excitement this morning when i looked at the squirm’s atwork and saw that he was drawing people!!!
i don’t know if this is something they work on at school, but this is the first actual “thing” i have seen him draw!
while he was drawing he was naming the parts: head, eyes, mouth, arm….and i said, “does he have hands?”Β and as you can see ——-> he is adding hands!
i couldn’t convince him that the person needed hair, but wow!Β i am so excited!!

That is so great! I’m guessing you are a very proud mommy now π
extremely proud! you would think he painted the mona lisa the way i have been showing off this drawing all day!!
Yay! This is bliss!
I loved it when my kids started drawing figures. I kept every picture.
There’s a developmental theory for kid’s drawings. I’ll look it up and get back to you. But you’ll be pleased to know that he is the spot-on age for drawing figures. And don’t worry, hair usually comes later.
in the past week he has added ears and a heart to his drawings.
beautiful!
that’s better than throwing rice!

It’s so cool watching our kids’ drawing take flight, isn’t it? I framed some of my kids’ drawing tonight so they can see it on the wall. Cute drawings!
i need to frame some of ours too!
