you have probably guessed that i love to read! i also love to discuss books, and hear about what other people have been reading. my blog buddy hakea, has provided me with some great recommendations.
because i am also a fan of stories involving wolves, i decided to try ‘shiver.’ i did have a few moments where i was painfully aware that i was much older than the target audience, but somehow i got so sucked into the main characters that as soon as i finished reading it, i had to go download the next one in the series!! *sigh*
so, despite my initial reluctance, i continue to follow the trials and tribulations of grace and sam 🙂
if i can resist downloading the third and final book, i promise to read something a little more serious next!

hehehehe
oh, i’ve relinquished all the guilt about reading books for young adults
and, i’ve met quite a few adults recently (male and female) who have admitted to their guilty pleasure, even the principal (male) at my boy’s school.
so, i’m reading Skulduggery Pleasant at the moment, which I think is written for 8 to 12 year-olds. i devoured the first book in about three days and i’m on to the second book. my 8 year-old son is delighted because he is the Skulduggery expert in our house, and we have had some good discussions about the books.
i think we belong to a special category of people – young at heart
enjoy!
I’m reading Fallen by Kate Lauren at the moment. It took about 100 pages to get into it, but now it’s getting really interesting. So far, it’s not scary – mostly sad and intriguing.
Finished it. Will definitely be getting the subsequent books – it’s just starting to get interesting. So many unanswered questions.
Just finished Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer. It’s non-fiction but it’s a good read, especially after seeing the movie.
Now started Words In The Dust by Trent Reedy. It’s a children’s book but it’s good so far.
What are you reading now?
i kind of stalled out on anathem, so i have been reading room instead, which is kind of creeping me out. mostly though i am home alone a lot more with the kids now that school is back in, and augie has been sick, so my reading time has diminished! i am still trying to resist downloading that last werewolf novel!!
