just a little update on the squirt’s walking…
it is funny, the squirm took three steps and he was off running, but squirty goes about it methodically. you can see him practice little parts of the puzzle. one day he spent an hour standing up from the floor, then sitting back down. video here.
having mastered that skill, he has moved on to walking on surfaces besides the living room rug. so he starts on the rug, takes a few steps on to the tile to feel it out, then turns around and comes back.

No two kids are the same – he is doing it his way and that’s a good thing. Of course you are proud of him! He will soon be running – then watch out!
It just goes to show how different temperaments affect how we approach new challenges. Yay for the squirt!
