i just completed my latest two swaps as a mail art participant. i don’t feel comfortably ensconced in it like i did before, but it is nice to take on some creative challenges.
the first was a jam swap, which means that one person makes some card backgrounds, and sends them on to the next person, who adds another set of stuff, then mails them to the third person, who finishes the cards and sends one back to each participant.
the cards came to me with the blue splattered background and the geometric shapes. i added the skeleton and the tree. i can’t wait to see how they get finished!
the next swap i did was a roving swap. in that case, the starter made 5 cards about their hometown, then sent them to the next person. each person is to take two cards they like, from the stash, and add two cards about their town. i thought my cards we ok….my mom liked them, so i went ahead and sent them on. i did make a super cool envelope to send.
