52 week project: week 11

toes, 3.20.11

one of the things i wanted to explore when i signed up for this project, was my aging carcass.  i have always been inspired by photographer john coplans, who really did a no holds barred photo documentation of how the aging process affected his body.  he wasn’t the first, or the last, to use photography to work though an issue.

since i have  been feeling old and flabby lately, i thought that if  i could make some beautiful photographs of the things that make me cringe, then perhaps it might be easier to wrap my mind around it all.  i started with the body parts that still look like me to me.

note: again, black and white makes everything look cooler.  highly recommended for scary photo exploration!
