my superpower

since i seem to be drawing a blank today on a topic, i blame lack of sleep and overabundance of childrens’ bodily fluids, i decided to actually address some of the suggested topics.

What’s your hidden talent?

What is the skill or ability you have people are always surprised to learn you posses? What hidden talent do you wish you had?

i think many people might be surprised to learn that i can weld!  both arc and mig.  and in the process of learning, i only caught myself on fire once!  my other crowning triumph?  the giant steel mosquito!  years of making photographs, and you make one giant bug and people are fighting to buy it!!  it was pretty darn cool, and wow do i wish i had access to a welder and some scrap metal out here!

what hidden talent do i wish i had? this is a no brainer for me.  magical cleaning skills for sure!!  and the bonus ability to get kids to take medicine without screaming and splattering sticky grape goo.

You made it through month two! How does it feel? So how has your blog evolved since you began the challenge? Have your posting strategies changed? What are you most proud of achieving thus far?

it feels pretty good really.  i am proud of myself for blogging so consistently.  have i evolved?  i feel like i cycle between wordy posts and picture-y posts, which is good.  as you recall, i was trying to work on combining writing and art.  i feel more comfortable, i don’t know if it shows.

i don’t really think of myself as a strategy person.  i also don’t think of myself as spontaneous, but i think that is my creative style.  i sit down and whatever comes out, comes out, then i hit publish.  i am pretty proud of making some cool new cyber friends, and participating in some fun online challenged.  i hope to continue to make connections.  i am also kind of psyched that one day over 100 people checked out my blog.

    Hey phrogmom

I am envious of your welding skills. My youngest son (5 years old) is nagging me to buy a welder so I can make him a robot. I am, however, scared of anything larger or more complex than a toaster. He would think you are a very cool mum!

You could make a career out of that. Why worry about cleaning when you have such an abundance of other talents? No-one has ever won a Nobel prize for housekeeping!

i was just thinking it would be great if the house could be magically cleaned, so i could spend the time doing the fun stuff! let me know if you get your welder!!!

I agree with hakea – housekeeping-smousekeeping, but welding is a very cool talent. I discovered a few months ago I can take photos that look like they belong on cards. Love that I am 40 and some mumbles old and still discovering things about myself. Enjoyed this post. 🙂

  3. Welding??? Wow… 11 out of 10 for coolness.. that bug is superb!

  4. I love the mosquito! My husband does some welding and said it’s not good for you!! Hope the kids are better soon!
    Debbie 🙂

  5. I just adore that mosquito!
