even though the weather was a little misty yesterday morning, we decided to make a run to the austin zoo. the kids and the animals didn’t seem to mind getting soggy, and there was a pretty good crowd. we aren’t completely sure on whether the squirm fears the animals or the other zoo patrons, but he usually insists on being carried throughout the zoo.
this time he warmed up about halfway through and had a wonderful time running amok.
we have previously taken the stroller for squirticus, but decided this time to take in the ergo, thinking he would be able to see more. he seemed to really enjoy it, and although i was getting a little pooped at the end of two hours, it certainly wasn’t any harder than pushing the stroller around on the rough terrain at the zoo.
it was hard to take his picture though.
i continue to struggle with getting good animal pictures through cages and wires. i am guessing i would need to zoom more than i am currently able to do.
fortunately the birds were happy to pose for me.
