happy birthday to my bff

me & captain steph, 3.28.08

i talk a lot on here about not having any friends, but when i whine about that, i mean that i don’t have any friends here.  in addition to having a couple of friends left in houston, and some ladies that have talked me through a lot online, i am lucky enough to have a best friend.

i have known steph since we were 13 years old, middle school students assigned to work together on a history project.

 

those of you who are good at math have probably already figured out that that means we have been friends for 29 years….the scary thing is that it feels like we were just sixteen years old.  how did we get to be grownups?

i don’t think i would have made it to adulthood without steph.  some days, just knowing she is there, wherever she currently lives, keeps me going.

anyway, it’s not my place to go too much into anyone else’s past on the internet, but i wanted to wish my bff the happiest of happy birthdays!
