good morning loyal readers. i usually try to blog first thing, so that i can avoid being derailed by the events of the day. today, i am feeling uninspired for the first time.
i hope to come back later with something more interesting, but until then, a quick update on some of the past posts.
milo was excellent at the dentist’s office yesterday. we took someone with us from head start, and he was very sweet with her. there was a brief bobcat impersonation, but the teeth were checked, no cavities were found and we scored a toothbrush that lights up.
i am feeling cured of my throat plague. my allergies are still bugging me, but my throat feels MUCH better. it is so nice to be able to swallow without a grimace.
i have made some progress on creating a workspace/art supply storage space for myself in the toddler house. maybe i will post some pictures of my endeavors later. it isn’t perfect, or at least i haven’t worked the kinks out, but it is a start.
i found a bra that is comfortable, and provides the girls with some much needed structure. it is not an underwire but still manages to provide architecture. problem is that it isn’t a nursing bra, so i have just been pulling it up, which means i am probably stretching out the band and wrecking the thing.
becca is healing up well from her spa day. she does have a stitch sticking out from her eye at a slightly disturbing angle. i really want to trim it, but i am not sure how she would react.
i am still inspired by my art journal, but haven’t had as much time to work on it lately. i had my second cello lesson and started learning what to do with my left hand. i am working up to playing twinkle twinkle little star. hopefully i will get to practice this week.
I’m glad the dentist appointment went well. I’m happy you’re feeling better too.
I think all Mom’s has days where worry for the wee one and life in general makes for a blue time. Hope you feel more cheery and inspired soon.
🙂
Well done Milo, and well done YOU!
thanks girl!
Great update! I was wondering how you are going with the cello.
So glad Milo was cool. Kids have a handy knack of proving you wrong, in front of other adults, after you’ve given them the worst case scenario, and immaculately timed. And you hear yourself saying over and over again “he’s not usually like this”.
